Module 3

Model Answer

See how all the parts come together in a finished email of 113 words.

Hi Alex,

I'm writing to tell you about Rocket League, which is an exciting sports game with flying cars. I usually play it on my home console every Friday evening. My older brother, who taught me all the basic moves, often joins me as my main teammate. The five-minute matches are always super intense and fast. My favourite part is the weekend competitive mode, where our small squad plays against skilled rivals from across Europe. One difficult thing is steering smoothly in the air because timing each jump takes hours of practice. Still, the realistic physics make every saved goal feel incredible. What video games are you enjoying now?

Write back soon,
Sam

Why this works

1. "I'm writing to tell you about Rocket League"

Starts your message clearly and names the topic straight away.

2. ", which is an exciting sports game..."

Adds a quick, interesting description right after the game's name.

3. ", who taught me all the basic moves,"

Gives extra information about a person between two commas.

4. "My favourite part is the weekend competitive mode"

Shows enthusiasm and directly answers what you enjoy most.

5. ", where our small squad plays..."

Tells the reader what happens in that place or mode.

6. "Write back soon"

A friendly, natural phrase to close your email and invite an answer.
