Model answer

Some people believe that students should wear a uniform at school. Other people think they should choose their own clothes. Both ideas have benefits, but I prefer school uniforms because they make daily life simpler.

On the one hand, uniforms can help students feel equal. A child from a family with less money does not need expensive clothes to look like everyone else. If students wear uniforms, they will also spend less time choosing clothes before school. For example, they can get dressed quickly and leave home on time. However, schools should choose uniforms that are comfortable and affordable.

On the other hand, choosing personal clothes gives students more freedom. Clothes can show what someone likes, and teenagers often want to express their personality. This can make them feel more confident. Although this is a good point, students may compare brands or feel pressure to buy new clothes. Families should not have to spend extra money just to follow fashion.

In my opinion, a simple school uniform is the better choice. It helps students focus on learning instead of appearance. Schools could still allow personal clothes on special days, so students have some freedom too. This would give a fair balance between school rules and personal choice.
