An Email About a New Apartment

From: Mai

To: Ben

Subject: My new apartment

Hi Ben,

How are you? I have some good news. Last Saturday I moved into a new apartment in the city center! I share it with two other people, Sara and Jun. Sara works at a bank, and Jun is a student.

The apartment is on the third floor, and there is no elevator, so carrying my boxes was hard. My room is small, but it has a big window, and I can see a park from my bed. We also have a nice kitchen. On Sundays the three of us cook dinner together. There is a small market near the apartment, and I buy fruit there on Saturdays.

I pay 600 dollars a month. That is cheaper than my old apartment, and the bus stop is only two minutes from the door. The bus takes me to my office in twenty minutes. Before, I walked for one hour every morning!

Would you like to visit me on Saturday the 14th? You can sleep on our sofa. Jun makes the best fried rice, so I am sure he will cook for you. Please tell me soon.

Best wishes,

Mai
