Finding the Way in Tokyo

Level: A2 English

Here are some ideas for visitors who want to find their way. Most streets in Tokyo do not have names! So how do people find places? They use landmarks. A landmark is something that is easy to see. For example, people look for big buildings, shops and stations. If you get lost, you can look for a koban. A koban is a small police box. The police officers there give directions and can draw a map for you. Shibuya Crossing is a famous crossing, and many people cross it at the same time. Outside Shibuya Station, you will also find the statue of Hachiko, a dog. It is a famous place to meet friends.
