A Warm Bowl of Pho
Pho is a famous Vietnamese noodle soup. People first wrote about pho in the early 20th century, in northern Vietnam. Today, many people in Vietnam eat a warm bowl of pho for breakfast before work or school.
The main ingredients in the soup are rice noodles, a hot broth, meat, and fresh herbs. Cooks usually make pho with beef or chicken. Hanoi pho and Saigon pho are different styles: the noodles, the broth, and the herbs are not the same in each city.
