The diagram shows the stages in how a person opens a new online account and signs in to it. Overall, the process consists of two clear stages: setting up the account and accessing it during later visits.
To begin with, an email address is entered on the website by the person. Next, a link is sent to that address by the website. After that, the person clicks the link to confirm the address, and a password is chosen. Once this is completed, the account is opened.
At each later visit, the person types the email address and the password. Following this, a code is sent to the person's phone by the website. Finally, the person types the code, and the website opens the account.
