✉️ Model Message
72 words

Hi Sam, can I borrow your bicycle this weekend? Mine is broken, and I need it for a fun Saturday trip to the lake. A friend of mine invited me to join our cycling group, but I have nothing to ride! Is yours free on Saturday afternoon? I promise to ride very carefully, and I will bring it back on Sunday morning before 10 a.m. Thank you so much for helping me!

💡 Why this works:

1. "Hi Sam, can I borrow..."

A polite and direct way to ask a friend for something right at the beginning.

2. "Mine is..."

Uses "mine" so you do not repeat the word "bicycle".

3. "A friend of mine..."

A natural phrase that means "one of my friends".

4. "Is yours..."

Asks if their item is free without repeating the noun.

5. "I will bring it back..."

Gives a clear time and date so your friend knows when they get it back.

6. "Thank you..."

Ends the message kindly and shows good manners.
