✉️ Model Answer (79 words) A2 Example

Dear Sam, I want to buy a new blue bicycle for school. It is too expensive to buy right now because it costs eighty pounds. It is important to save my weekly pocket money in a glass jar. I am happy to wash my dad's car every Saturday to earn extra money. It is hard to stop buying sweets, but I put every penny in my jar. Next month I will have enough money to visit the bike shop.

🔍 Useful Phrases and Why This Works

1 too expensive to buy

Why this works: Use "too" before an adjective to show a problem, and "to" with an action word to say what cannot happen yet.

2 save my weekly pocket money

Why this works: "Weekly" tells your friend when you get money, and "save" shows you keep it safe instead of spending it.

3 earn extra money

Why this works: "Earn" tells your reader you worked for the money, and "extra" means getting more money than usual.

4 stop buying sweets

Why this works: This tells your friend one thing that is hard for you.

5 have enough money

Why this works: This tells your friend your plan: next month you will have the money.

💡 Teacher tip: Notice how every sentence is short, clear, and gives one piece of information at a time.
