Dear Mum,

I am at the beach. It is sunny and hot today.

I am swimming in the sea.

I like the weather because it is warm.

1

Dear Mum / Love, Alex

Every friendly postcard needs a greeting at the top and a sweet closing at the end.

2

I am at the beach

Sentence 1 clearly tells the reader where you are right now using "I am at...".

3

sunny and hot / swimming

Sentence 2 and 3 describe the weather and use a verb with "-ing" for your activity.

4

because it is warm

Sentence 4 links your feeling ("I like...") with a simple reason using "because".
