Model answer
This example uses an invented film; talk about a film or series you know.
The film that immediately springs to mind is called Echoes of Tomorrow, which I came across on a streaming service last November. I watched it at home with my sister after a really busy week at work. As far as I recall, we'd planned to watch a comedy, but the trailer looked interesting, so we gave it a go.
It's quite thought-provoking. Essentially, it revolves around a family in a coastal village where the sea keeps getting closer to their homes. The main character wants to leave, but her father doesn't want to give up the house he grew up in. If the family had left straight away, they would've been safer, but they might have lost their community.
What struck me most was that there wasn't an easy answer. Before watching it, I'd thought moving was the obvious choice. It really opened my eyes to how much a place can mean to someone. Looking back, I'm glad we chose it. I wish more films showed both sides of a problem so clearly.
