Activity Variations
Pre-Printed Stems
Give struggling desks partial sentence frames where they only fill in the evaluation verb phrase and the noun phrase that follows as.
Vocab Lock-Out
No Unit word may be repeated across a team's 6 sentences. Teams must deploy 6 distinct Unit vocabulary items to earn their full bonus points.
Live News Anchor
Instead of simply reading their sheet, one speaker per desk delivers all 6 sentences as a seamless 45-second TV broadcast without notes.
Card 7: Central Bank
Create an extra reaction card representing the central bank's perspective. Must use the pattern describe ... as and the word inflation.
Closing Questions
Tone & Bias

Journalistic Distance

Real-World Application
If the Nolu were suddenly rolled out across your home country tomorrow, how would your national commercial banks and tax authorities view it?
