For Teachers
Guide students through the 4-row grammar chart for three minutes before starting the twelve practice tasks.
Check the answers together by asking learners to read each complete sentence out loud.
For Learners
Study the four rules and look closely at the underlined words in every ocean example first.
Work through the twelve practice items from easy to hard and use the one-word hint in brackets.
Four Rules to Learn
Another means one more. Use it with one thing: another bottle. Other means different ones. Use it with many things: other bottles. Say "another bottle", not "another bottles".
Others means some different ones from the same group. The others means all the rest of a group you already know. Do not put a naming word after either one. Say "the others", not "the others nets".
Use each and every with one thing: each volunteer takes. Use all with many things: all the volunteers work. Whole means the complete thing and comes after a or the: the whole bay. Say "each volunteer takes", not "each volunteers take".
Either means one of two things. Neither means not this one and not that one. Neither already says no, so do not add not. Say "neither river is clean", not "neither river is not clean".
